Studying TIPS!
First - don't cram...
it doesn't work well!
A great way to learn something is to learn in 'chunks'.
- spend a 20 - 25 minutes working on some math problems... each time checking to see if you get the right answer (this means... you already have the correct answer!).
- then... TAKE A BREAK!
- REPEAT this... making sure you check your answer each time.
- WRITING DOWN 'how you do it'... not the way the teacher does it, is a great way to take notes.
- Watch the teacher until you begin to understand.
- Then copy down an example... soon the light goes on...
when THIS happens... block out everything else and
explain to yourself how to do it (on paper!). THEN
check to see if the way you understand it is correct (ask
the teacher)
